1. Data Protection Laws
» Introduces key European data protection laws and regulatory bodies, describing the evolution toward a Harmonised European Legislative Framework.

2. Personal Data
» Defines and differentiates between types of data-including personal, anonymous, pseudo-anonymous and special categories.

3. Controllers and Processors
» Describes the roles and relationships of controllers and processors.

4. Processing Personal Data
» Defines data processing and GDPR processing principles, Explains the application of the GDPR and outlines the legitimate bases for processing personal data.

5. Information provision
» Explains controller obligations for providing information about data processing activities to data subjects and Supervisory
Authorities.

6. Data Subjects ‘Rights
» Describes data subjects’ rights, applications of rights and obligations controller and processor.

7. Security or Processing

CIPP/E Certification Training Details:

CIPP/E certification is valid for two years from the first day of the month following the date the credential was earned and each anniversary thereof. To maintain your credential, you must meet two minimum requirements over the term of your certification

The CIPP/E exam consists of 60 scored multiple-choice items and 20 non-scored multiple-choice trial items. The passing score is 300 out of 500 possible points.

The CIPP/C exam consists of 60 scored multiple-choice items and 20 non-scored multiple-choice trial items. The passing score is 300 out of 500 possible points.

The CIPP/US exam consists of 75 scored multiple-choice items and 15 non-scored multiple-choice trial items. The passing score is 300 out of 500 possible points.

The CIPP/G exam consists of 60 scored multiple-choice items and 20 non-scored multiple-choice trial items. The passing score is 300 out of 500 possible points.

CIPP/E Certification Renewal

CIPP/E is valid for two years. To maintain your credential, you must meet two minimum requirements over the term of your certification:

» Pay an annual certification maintenance fee (included in IAPP’s membership fee).
» Fulfill 20 hours of continuing privacy education (CPE).
